I have been down the scrap yard in search of a wide ratio f18, i found 3 of them 2 of theme were on diesel vectras one of wich was a 3.57fd and one was a 3.74fd and the other one was on a 2.0 8v cavalier and it was a3.92fd. Now what i need to know is are all the gear ratios the same despite the different final drives? And will the f18s that are in the diesel vectras have the same splines on the input shaft as a f20 so i can use it with my xe clutch plate and the last question is that on the the f18s that were on the diesels after the stamp that that tells you what final drive ratio it is is a + symbol, anyone know what this means? Ie W3.74+ any info would be much appriciated

Yeah the input shaft is same as a F20.

Not sure about the other 2 but I had the W3.74 on my C20LET and the ratios were very long (140mph in 4th!) but that was kinda good cos I didn't experince much wheel spin.

No idea mate, I bought it from someone local and he didn't know what it came off either.

Was cable clutch so probably from a Cav?
