Removing paint off bumper

What's the best way to remove paint off the rear plastic bumper (this is for the SR).

Cannot use pressure washer due to hose pipe ban. Nitromoors type chemicals? Must not damage the bumper as I'm getting it repainted.

are you trying to keep the rough texture?

i just surface sanded mine by hand, and when upol'd they looked pretty good..

Well it is currently painted in Hurricane Grey which is lacquered so you can hardly see the texture. So it's not essential. But I wanna get it totally removed. I'm surprised there isn't a paint remover like nitromoors that's plastic friendly.

I seen on YouTube a video where a guy stripped the paint of his bumpers and trim with graffiti remover that said it was safe on plastic

Soda blasting will do that aswell,

try some nitromors on the back of the bumper to see if it affects it.

nitromors tends to eat into plactic but can try as mowgli said

Thanks for the replies./ May have to look into that graffiti remover or just pop down to B&Q and the like to ask around for plastic safe strippers.
