bought last year with the intention of using it as an occasional car, but its now the daily after my other cav was written off and i'm just not feeling it
1989 SRi 2.0 8v SEH engine (130bhp)
130,000 miles
4 owners (company car for two years, family owned from 1991 - 2009, then a neighbour and me as of last november)

good points:
pretty much flew through the MOT
loads and loads of history up until the owner before me
very solid underneath, justa couple of small areas (as you would expect with the age)
drives brilliantly, and pulls very well for an old machine
just had:
nearside front wheel bearing
nearside cv boot
cambelt
fuel hose for MOT
full set of LS 14" alloy wheels with new tyres
this weekends work
offside wheel bearing
offside cv boot
front brake pads
repair a small hole in the exhaust
bad points:
offside rear wheel arch has started to rot out, might be rescuable but im not a bodywork guy http://www.cavmk3oc.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
nearside rear arch at the frot edge has started to corrode
offside rear lamp has a small hole in it
one of the headlamp wipers doesnt work
drivers seat bolster worn (surprise surprise)
parcl shelf damaged but complete
nearside wing mirror attached with screws and duct tape
neither electric mirror works
