Engine Control Module (ECM), MIL/RPM/Fuel consumption signals - circuit malfunction
I have a fault code of 93, autodata has given me a few tests to try on the ecu, was wondering if anybody has had this code before and what they did ?
I have a slight missfire, idle is abit up and down and bogs out when i hit the throttle
Engine is C16se MK3 Astra
93 = Quad drive module (in ECU)

Haha + rep to both, according to the web - :
Coil pack
Bad earth
im seeing it as being something inside the ecu that controlls the idle motor and various other things
most people are saying check the ecu earths
I had this problem mate, spent ages trying to find the fault.
Turned out to be my coilpack had a bad earth after I got the coilpack bracket powdercoated, didn't know it used the bracket as an earth:thumb:
Possibly worth taking it off and sanding it down mate;)

i'll check the resistance on the ecu earths and see if theres any current going through them, it stutters on idle so what you say make sense

Spot on mate will try this first as my cylinder head / coil bracket was sprayed in heat temperature paint, didnt realise it acted as an earth
I actually replaced my coil pack twice incase I had got a dodgy one aswell.
Start with the cheap options;)

cheers for the help, managed to get the code 93 out of the way, cleaned all the earths and it dissapeared, just need to sort the missfire / backfire out
Nice one mate:thumb:
David.
How's it getting on now matey?
Did you get the misfire sorted out?
David.

Hi david, managed to get it up and running, no fault codes but has a slight missifre but nothing im bothered about, it could just be the exhaust, check out my project build all the recent pictures are in there.
Good stuff mate, I will have a look just now;)
