So, we got up at 2am today, got in the car and drove all the way to Bolton!
It's a 535d with all the m5 bits, bumpers wings, spoiler, ac schnitzer window spoiler and splitter, m5 wheels, and m5 brakes. It's a genuine sport so all the sport interior and black Head lining etc. it's re mapped to 350bhp with 700 nm of torque.
Anyway, some pictures;

Oh, it goes like foooook and averages 35mpg!
Your thoughts?
That's awesome! 35mpg sounds far too much though lol

Very nice mate , only a couple of miles from me then , I'm loving my 530 that I picked up las week although mine has avereged 29.8 over 700 miles lol , but it is a auto :)
I want a space saver for mine as it not on 4 run flats any more but there £200 on the bay , can get a spare alloy for that lol

Can of tyre weld ftw!!
Lovely bm, that's my favourite 5 series shape as well :d
Jesus, being relegated really did affect Bolton bad.
Owen Coyle selling his cars!
(Football fans will get this.. hopefully)

Big fan of BMW's, the new 5 series is a much more hansome beast though.
Not keen on the replica alloys, the Chinese/Taiwanese/Koreans* have a knack of making something good look cheap lol
*Delete as appropriate.

Sorry to say I prefer the standard looks with the M Sport upgrade alloys.....

Yes Rick, it looks like it has some light masks. Not quite as flash as the RGM twin headlight conversion masks for a Nova lol
Kinda reminds me of.....

^ I noticed those too.
IMO it looks naff. Its not an M5 so why badge it as one. Lose the tat and it would be a nice car.
What exactly does your dad do? lol

Its not an M5 so why badge it as one.
So people can say "O man I smoked a M5 in my XE nova earlier" lol

It's not a gsi/gte so why badge it as one? Same principle

Agreed, no car should have the 'wrong' badge on it. Be it a nova or a e60 BM.
Looks nice though, but seriously doubt he will continue with 35mpg except on a run.
Quite common to see 530/535d M5 lookalikes, genuine M5 are horrendous to run!

It's been doing 32 round town, with giving It a bit of a blast every so often.
I wish I could have afforded to buy it, but I only had about 1% of the money lol

lol the BMW would still woop one IMO. Even with the added boooost from the M badges, yo

Exactly!
The derv will literally smoke a nova lol
If it's been remapped it'll be quicker than an M5 anyway, so who gives a toss it's got some badges on it.

Hit the nail on the head! I have a feeling it won't keep up, but if they were to race you could use the excuse that the 'm' button wasn't pushed (obviously making it out to be an m5 lol )

the 35d's are noticably quicker when remapped, mainly off the line to be fair.
Same story with the 335d/M3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXndCQeU__k
Surprising but seems to be true!

A 535d remapped won't even come close to a m5!!
However a 335d remapped and m3 is a different story, until it starts to get twisty!!!

as above i cant see it getting near an m5 to be honest, just my opinion

I geuss we are never going to find out, as I only know of 1 m5 round here, and apart from that we are lucky to see 1 a year lol
According to parkers info on an M5, the remapped 535d is up 180Nm on torque, and down 150bhp on power. I doubt it's too far off to be fair!
