Need to clarify what I can drive... lol

Moving house soon, so looking to rent a van for a couple days - preferably a decent sized one so I can do it all in one hit. The local hire place can supply LWB hightop transit, a 3.5t Jumbo van or 3.5t Luton wagon.

The 3.5t van & wagon, can I drive those on my post-97 (1999) cat B licence?

This any use from here? CLICKY (http://www.bwcvehiclehire.co.uk/van-hire-news/faqs/frequently-asked-questions.php)

All hire vans up to and including Luton/box vans can be driven on a standard car license (Category B license) as they will have a maximum gross/laden weight of 3.5 tonnes or less. Anyone wishing to drive a 7.5t truck will need a Category C1 entitlement on their licenses. If you took your car test before 01/01/1997, you should already have this. Anyone who has taken their car test since 01/01/1997 will need to take a separate Category C1 test. 17 seater minibuses require Category D1 on your licence.

Pick up the keys on the 1st June which is a Friday - so planning on getting a van for the 2nd/3rd, saturday to move all my crap and sunday to do an ikea/argos run for furniture. Don't think a 3 seater sofa would fit in the Celica lol

Landlord is supposed to be doing carpets and windows between the current incumbants moving out (27th) and me going in (1st)... so that date may slip a bit lol but I do have the 1st - 10th off work though so maybe sometime in that window. Its all very well organized lol

Ingredients 1 x 5 lb (2.25 kg) chicken, cut into 8 joints (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-a-c/Chicken.html) 1ΒΌ pints (725 ml) red wine 1 oz (25 g) butter (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-a-c/Butter.html) 1 rounded tablespoon softened butter and 1 level tablespoon plain flour, combined to make a paste (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-a-c/Butter.html) 1 tablespoon oil (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-m-o/Oil.html) 8 oz (225 g) unsmoked streaky bacon, preferably in one piece (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-a-c/Bacon--including-gammon.html) 16 button onions (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/in-season/winter/december/Onions.html) 2 cloves garlic, crushed (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-g-i/Garlic.html) 2 sprigs fresh thyme (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-s-u/Thyme.html) 2 bay leaves (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-a-c/Bay-leaves.html) 8 oz (225 g) small dark-gilled mushrooms (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-m-o/Mushrooms.html) salt and freshly milled black pepper (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/ingredients-a-z/ingredients-s-u/Salt.html)To garnish (optional): chopped fresh parsley (http://www.deliaonline.com/ingredients/in-season/summer/june/Parsley.html)

Method
Melt the butter with the oil in a frying pan, and fry the chicken joints, skin side down, until they are nicely golden; then turn them and colour the other side. You may have to do this in three or four batches – don't overcrowd the pan. Remove the joints from the pan with a draining spoon, and place them in the cooking pot. This should be large enough for the joints to be arranged in one layer yet deep enough so that they can be completely covered with liquid later.

Now de-rind and cut the bacon into fairly small cubes, brown them also in the frying pan and add them to the chicken, then finally brown the onions a little and add them too. Next place the crushed cloves of garlic and the sprigs of thyme among the chicken pieces, season with freshly milled pepper and just a little salt, and pop in a couple of bay leaves. Pour in the wine, put a lid on the pot and simmer gently for 45-60 minutes or until the chicken is tender. During the last 15 minutes of the cooking, add the mushrooms and stir them into the liquid.

Remove the chicken, bacon, onions and mushrooms and place them on a warmed serving dish and keep warm. (Discard the bay leaves and thyme at this stage.) Now bring the liquid to a fast boil and reduce it by about one third. Next, add the butter and flour paste to the liquid. Bring it to the boil, whisking all the time until the sauce has thickened, then serve the chicken with the sauce poured over. If you like, sprinkle some chopped parsley over the chicken and make it look pretty

edit.... sorry, i misread it, this is coq au vin.... sorry
