Fuel gague, Nova GSI

Yes Yes. here is the problem, I av just fitted a digital dash 2 my gsi n the fuel gague just reads zero even though the tank is full. My mate tested the fuel sender the a couple of months ago (dont know how he did it) n he said it worked fine! Does anyone have any ideas? The dash works fine as far as i know why oh why cant i get a fuel reading???

the fuel guage is blue/black

Yes i know the fuel wire is blue/black and yes its wired correctly this is why im so confused as to what is not right! Could is be a fuse or summet?
