Hi,

I didn't know whether this question should be in styling or in electrical, so please inform me when it's wrong here.

I live in the Netherlands and own a Opel Corsa TR (Vauxhall Nova Saloon).
I consider to put 1 Uk taillight in my car to have 2 same tail lights. I don't have a clue what would look nicest, with 2 reverse lights or with 2 fog lights. Because my car is white (and will stay white) I think the reverse optoin looks nicest, but to be sure I'm looking for pictures.
For the fog light I will mount 2 old-school fog lights under the rear bumper.

I hope you can help me.

Regards,
Mischa

if you fit the reverse option, you can just use a red light bulb to get the fog light.

here is blue pegs nova with 2 x fog, this is what most people do over here to them

Hi,
Thanks for the reply! :thumb:
When I use a red light bulb I don't have a brake light on that side. I see blue peg has MK3 bumpers. Ik have MK2 bumpers with enough room under them to mount fog lights nicely.
I even thought of using twin fog lights and connect them to the brake lights, so I have 4 brake lights. Hey, this might be another option, with a front fog light under the bumper as a reverse light (would be enough light for night reverse driving though). :d

At first it has to look good at daylight.

Mischa

Just used twin reverse lamps wired up for twin fog, with a red LED bulb in them; then added in some secondary lights into the reverse lamp that were wired into the reverse loom.

I did take some pics when I made them, its pretty straightforward really. I'll see if I can find them.

in the uk, we don't need a reverse light to pass our MOT (annual test) it might be differend in the netherlands

@Jack: almost clear, but when you have pictures, please. Is the fog light really red? It looks a little pale red to me.

@mowgli: I don't really care what we need or should have, I just want both of them on the car. I'm now collecting pictures for both options an I might buy a complete UK set of lights, so that I can check is on my own car. Blue ain't white, so on my car it can look completely different.

Same is for the panel between the tail lights. I have it, but it broke off. Now is the question, should I repair it, put a black sticker on it like a Vauxhall Astra Mk2 or clean it and make it white. Many options, it makes me crazy.

Its mostly the pic that makes it look pink for some reason, but thats probably just because its an LED bulb - you could just use something like a silvertec bulb

I think this is easy to check by ordering some red LED bulbs and hold them in place of the reverse lights. Then I can check whether I like it or not. If not, I can still use the reverse lights on both sides.
I just kinda like the look of some classic fog lights hanging under the bumper.
