hello mu names michael and heres my new purchase that i borough off here http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?184924-Mk1-Nova-1.0-in-bits
its a 86 1 litre merit

1st things 1st was making it water tight so with the help of m8 connor and his dad i got the rear windows in without any breakages and used a bit of vinyl over the front screen overnight

the next day i was up early to make it look like a car again so i put the front back on

i need to borrow a engine crane to put the engine in but i fort it would be better here than out in the open

someone had done a bad job of smothing the boot so i need a new one

i got a new windscreen for a tenner from d.p.autos in deal result

and its solid apart from needing a whole passenger side rear qauter as someone has badly welded a arch repair panel on and i think there are less ripels in the sea

Looks good. It was looking much better last night after we put all the bits back together than when it was delivered lol

my dad helps us put the windscreen and boot on then he sort of whent mad and kepted getting more bits out and puting them on and he started hammering some of the pushed in panels out

can you not use a jack to lift the engine up? its how i usually do it

You're best putting the engine in from the bottom i.e. a jack. It's much easier and less hassle.

you know how heavy it is so how we are going to lift it on to the end of the jack

what the best doublesided tape to use as both of are spoiler are falling off

you dont need to lift it completely just pick up one end and put the jack under. plus they are not that heavy, are you a man or a mouse lol

Welcome mate you look like your starting with a good solid chassis which is half the battle!

Gave a hand today and got the engine bolted in. Just got to connect everything up tomorrow and get it running!

we got one step closer today we got it running
