Hi I am thinking bout not having side repeaters on my gte once it has been re sprayed does any one know what the score is with mot? And does it look better with out them? Thanks dan

85 and older dont need them iirc

Depends if your friendly with the MOT tester, plod will probabley never notice

you can put on removavble ones (clip on?) so long as they are on the car for the test and secure.

personally, i think nova ones look like dalek's ears, but i still have mine on my car..

I took mine out and never had a problem with mot or plod! :)

Anything after 86 needs side repeaters. Unless you have indicators that are visible from the side. Like on a mk2 for example....:p

I think by law the front repeaters have to be visible while stood one metre out from the rear of the car. The Mazda's not had them since it was imported and never had any failures

rule goes, if you can stand 1 meter out from the back of the car and see the front lense its ok to have them smoothed off for mot purposes.

mk1s you cant, mk2 you can.

but, ive done it on my gte. i will consider having some tucked up in the scuttle incase i need to place them on the wing for a temporary purpose. im a mot tester so im not going to fail my own car....lol.

...Or just replace with Astra Mk4 repeaters. Look much better IMO. Even have them on my GT4 lol

I only filled over mine so I could poke them out if i had too lol or add some orange l.e.d's on the mirror
