Defo not CVs, they dont click even just before they fall apart

I reckon somewhere in the diff area, possibly the speedo drive...

has not been built out of bits

only fitted it yestaday as it had a wr f13 on (slow lol) no has a f13c which should be on the engine

il will click some times on corners but cliks in straight line?

diff bearings?

what you mean by diif gears alright mowgli? aint had it apart

well, the diff gears inside the housing might be shot, the bearings might be, the pinnion gear might not be the right size for the crownwheel, but as you have fitted it complete, we must assume its std.

it might have been run dry. is it the clutch bearing?

are the wheel bearings ok? what state are the brakes in?

Is that a bad thing?

Usually...a combination of components with different rates of wear is never usually a brilliant mix

have you jacked it up & run it with only one wheel turning? then swap over to the other side?

this will; eradicate wheel bearings, cv's & possibly brakes.. and might show up a gearbos problem

Is that a bad thing?

it a box is a bitser, there is also the chance that mismatched components are fitted.

Ive just built a box with a cluster from one box & diff/cwp from another, was under the impression it would be alright though? (sorry for the thread hijack pie)

it probably will, if you swapped the little pinion gear over on the output shaft, and it was in good nick..

my current cluster is a f13wr from an astra with a 3.94 diff, but it is in my f13cr gte box with the 3.74 diff, so the sykes puller set was called for to get the gear swapped. it runs like a sewing machine.

Yeah the pinion was fine otherwise i wouldnt of used it, its a f13cr cluster with a 4.18 diff in a f10 casing, the diff was in the casing from factory all ive done is put the cluster in
