push the top in, the bottom just comes out, if it is the 6 dials the n try to free the speedo cable from the left (by pressing the bottom of the lever at the back) then as it comes out the elctrical connections will need to be removed.

Although it is easier with the steering comlum cover removed, it isn't necessary if you are very careful not to scratch it and not to damage the bttom of the circuit on the instruments.

i undid the 2 13mm bolts holding the colum to the underside of the dash that dropped the steering wheel anuth to slide the clocks out

GO into the bay and push through and slack from the speedo. In the cabin get a flat blade screw driver under the bottom of the clocks. This should pop the bottom out so you can slowly pull the clocks towards you (this is why you feed the speedo slack into the cabin). Release the speedo clip from behind and you should be able to pull it all out.

for gods sake people!!! you don't need tools for this job.

1. simply push the dash dials back into the dashboard, turn it sideways a bit till the speedo cable can be popped off with your finger, then turn it 90deg, & undo the plugs. then you pull it out to the steering wheel, and with the key in the ign, turn the wheel if you need to, as you wiggle the dials out.
