temperture problems

hello there
i started my car up after 2 or 3 minutes the temperture gauge creeps up which is good :)
but then i rev the car and the temperture gauge goes up then stop reving it and then goes down again
HELP dont have a clue

is it actually overheating??is there coolant in it?

could be a wiring short or bad sensor maybe

no its not overheating and yes there coolant in it i was thinking maybe sensor
and mk1 nova 1.0

try disconnecting you dash temp sensor and see what happens,
has it got different clocks in it?could be the tracks on the back of the clocks maybe??

i have taken the clocks out and looks all ok but i also have brought a second hand set of clocks and its still doing the same :( im now thinking temperture sensor ?
