Mine made it there, three sessions including one with mad ******* Lee at the wheel, and made it home. It goes really well. I just need to learn how to drive it. (as well as Lee!)

Coldest day ever - it felt like January!

Good turn out overall though and some epic cars on track.

was it a dry day???, any good spin offs...

Hobbit

Was very wet in the morning then a bit drizzly in the afternoon. Was loads of spins. Scoob hit the wall at the exit of quarry. Escort cossie almost did the same. Lots of spins at camp. Donna has pics of most of them.

This is why the whole myth of bad handling v6's is bollocks. Cause while all the 4x4's were spinning my little nova was flying (when Lee was at the wheel.)

My Nova was on the PNG stand, but i didnt venture out onto the track in the end. Went as co-pilot in my mates Evo though.

Got a few pics, will get them up later.

Thanks so much for letting me have a go. i don't get on track much anymore :( It went very very well, and it just showed how much a diff is worth twice its weight in gold in a car with a heavy engine. It compensated for the lack of grip wonderfully, and like I said to you, stiffen it up a bit on the front and put some decent rubber on it and it'll be a serious weapon!

Its a fibre glass bonnet, there was a strip of metal riveted under there for added strength. It was clearly working well lol. Said strip of metal has now departed the car due to the amount of flex. So i need to beef things up under there.

Get some rope and fiberglass resign it to the underside, adds a huge amount of strength but not alot of weight.

No it isn't, it just has a CSL boot lid!!!! Up and running there is not much difference in a straight line between a CSL and a M3.

However, good going to keep up, but without track tyres he will have been seriously struggling for grip. Mine runs 265 wide vreds on the back and in anything even slightly damp it struggles in 1st, 2nd and 3rd!!!!

I'm sure that 180bhp FWD with a standard F20 and day tyres was just as easy..lol

09-05-12, 10:20 PM
that 180bhp was pulling 800-900kg? Where as the 325ish in the m3 (presuming standard as they never run the book 343) was pushing 1550-1600kg (if not stripped and just has a cage added) so very similar power to weight ratio.

But yeah bet it was fun!
