budget drifter as my s1 is near the end something to build,
there ford derived and come with a cvh fitted so turbo power should be fairly easy conversion,

there sourced for under a grand and look fun:d

the good ones had a nissan 1.8turbo lump in them... ugly as hell, but apparently very capable little motors.. you could probably get an mx5 cheaper, and there are aftermarket turbo kits for them..

yes the zetec is a mazda engine but i hate the look of them and the midlife crisis image that goes with them

mx5s are great cars i use to have the **** end of mine out all the time i had the 1800 wich helped lol, if i wanted to take up driffting i would get another and just weld the diff up, there great cars there image is poor but why care as long as it puts a smile on your boat

Those scimitar S1s must be fun when built right but I'd rather spend the cash on a SE5 or 6 with the Essex v6 engine tuned or even turbo'd

no i do andy,looks well cool on the azevs then i like ugly stuff,im a big maestro turbo fan too lol

We once had a hillclimb maestro turbo in at the old clutch and gearbox centre where me and my mate worked,we saw the look on our bosses face after he had test driven it.He went home and we went out in it,it was incredibly fast,just as we were giving it rock all through a 30mph industrial estate well into the cool side of treble figures armed response went flying past lol

you could get a tr7, and using the bellhousing off an ldv sherpa van fit the maestro turbo engine..
