masonry wood or metal?
I'm personally a fan of the Dewalt Extreme 2 sets, normally around the fifty pound mark
These (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DeWalt-Extreme-2-Metal-Drillbit-Set-29-Piece-/110868432100?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item19d04604e4) are the ones I have
Well wood can be drilled with anything and so can masonary
will be for drilling metal

I've used them for about the last three years, and they have been great very rarely snap and thats in a cordless drill, drilling stainless and ali everyday
We got a box of silverline drills from the local engineering supplies van man, 2-10mm in .5mm increments, then when they break/wear, we replace with skf ones from the proper engineers supplies place.
Im an absoloute butcher with drill bits, my dormer bits have somehow survived for a few years. Def going to stick with dormer from now on.
