Mk1 headlight switches

Just started fitting the brown dash into the nova (only brown for grey) but when I went to put the headlight switch Back in it is bigger than the hole. So I've looked it up and there are a few different switches for these.
If I pick up the correct switch for this is the wiring connection going to be different? If this is the case instead of my messing with the wiring do I try and make it fit?
Any help or advise would be great

As far as I know the wiring connections are the same.

I think they changed the switch in 86 to accomadate a light within in it.

I once changed an old one for the slimmer new one with light about 15 years ago, I can't rememeber properly but I think I just cut the wires and put them to the same colour on the new switch, so maybe they don't fit? Probably not much help, sorry!

i had this problem to so didn't change the dash lol
