finaly its all been baught :D i dont need to spend fook loads more and the end is in sight!
has n e one else had that satisfied feeling of when all the expensive stuff has been done and the mountain has been climbed! :D
the final spec is as follows, only aqua mist needs to be added once run in :wink:

c20let, full re- build, EDS phase 3.5 software, 12 position power wheel, uprated map sensor, worked coscast head, flowed top hat, accralite oversized forged pistons, z20let injectors, v max uprated inlet cam and vernier pulley, v max fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, arp rod bolts, regal full metal 4layer head gasket, hybrid turbo, uprated sports actuator, forge motorsport FM intercooler, f28 box with quafe atb lsd, gen gasket kits, silicon hose kit, bailey dump valve, competition engine mounts, 2 1/4" full stainless system 4 1/4"back box, rocker cover colour coded in anthresite black to match the wheels, full rally stiffening kit, seam welded and 1 off plug cover.

Just go careful when its all done and running, at the moment i have a terrible feeling i am spending a fortune getting it running how i want it and im going to drive into a tree on the first run :!:

hmm prob with recipts is even if i spend 99p on a magic tree my dads like 'keep that for service history' :lol: ive added the cost up inc the buying of the engine and the 4pots etc etc lets just say i could have prolly had a bog std new corsa by now!
but then some peps will say that aint that much, and my spec is shite so fook it!
all i done was stuck to a personal budget as some will know i only realy built this car as a tide me over as i cant get insured on an escort cosworth, so when this car is for sale thats what will replace it!

Really? you cant get insured on a cossie at the age of 20 !!!!! I'm surprised, surely it's gonna be expensive but I'm sure someone will insure you would be around the Group 19/20 area though

I rang up about insurance on a Escort cosworth the other day and they quoted me, i try every six months or so just to have a laugh, this is the first time i have been quoted, im 22.

I think the difference is though that i started my insurance with them on the Nova GSi wich was group 11 then moved onto the Golf wich is 16 now i have only gone up a further 4 groups, whereas they always said that the jump from 11-20 was too much of a risk.

Either that or i got a decent underwriter :!:

My quote worked out as ?1098 for a 12 month, wich i thought to be excellent as there are some guys on here paying that for a 1.0l nova :o

Nice spec Dan, what intercooler have you gone for in the end? Any pics of it. Hopefully i will have a F28 and a bare block in a few minutes to enable the garage to line up my gearbox mount to be welded in then its full speed ahead. Rick

Rick could you post a pic once your mount is welded on as my mount is a fair bit further bak than what it shows on the m tec instructions! again ill put it down to me using the tas d/s mount and not the m tec/ pvd one!

yea im hoping for bout 320bhp be intresting to see what difference the head and plenuim work will give, then if the software allows for 315bhp then im not gunna see much more coz of air/fuel mix it allows for i spose?

Rick i went for the forge universal 680mm one should be a nice fit as you said, just need to get sone 90's made up and get work to bend me some tube so it all goes together nice!
oh and i got 4 of those diff shims made in the end mass production lol!

Yup i will get some pics taken for you dan but i am using all PVD engine mounts on my car so mine will be in a slightly different position to yours as my engine sat a lot flatter with the PVD engine mounts than with the carquip one. How long till its all fitted then dan? The Forge universal one shud fit just behind the bumper i think, i have seen it in this position on a lime green one. Rick
