fuel pipe

My fuel pipe in my 1.0 which goes to the fuel pump is starting to crack on the surface so today when looking through my stock of rubber pipes I found one the right size etc but,

I am not sure if it is a fuel pipe or coolant pipe.

Does it matter i.e. will the petrol break up the rubber in the wrong type of pipe?

Should I just buy a new fuel pipe or will this one do?

Get the correct hose. Some rubber pipes are not lined, therefore are not suitable for fuel.
