That looks absolutely mint, cracking car fella.

Anyone else think we need to change the name of the forum to pn&cg lol

Looks great mate, very clean. Even with the Ecotec lump in it they still shift well. Brother has a white one. I still think them facelift ones look good in Hatch form but Early ones look good in Saloon guise.

lol seconded... PN&CG

Thanks for the nice comments bois.. Its on 102k now. So much car for the money you pay, if you get a clinker.

yes ive bought the cav,i regret selling mine to jack really as it was one of the best td saloons ive come across, the red one seems a good one owing all credit from the previous owners looking after it and added to it further,
i dont really plan on doing a lot if anything to it except a piece of floor to cut and replace in the boot,do the timing belt as robbo is unsure if anyone has ever done it? any info?

i think between all the owners they have made a stunning looking cav and just the way i would have done it

Iirc i had the belt done, she should be on about 125 thou now shouldnt she, i did it about 115 (i think) but that was well over three years back so she will probably be due one on age alone!

thats good to hear mate. as i say i think its just the excess oil in the exhaust which i never managed to clear out as i never had it on a run. im fairly sure it will just burn out the exhaust and be fine. i've got some last pics from today if you want them putting up anywhere.

23-04-12, 11:04 PM
haha yup. btw i think i know why. that engine i got of toms old one had the pipe from actuator to turbo completely removed so it had no limit to boost. until melting

hendrix
23-04-12, 11:05 PM
ahhh that would explain it then as I'm guessing this engine would be the same now
