digital dash transucer wiring

hello guys got a problem with my transducer wiring my speedo hasn't worked since i got the car and had a fiddle with it today.the red/blue is goin to the back of the dash which i know it correct but the brown earth and black live are going to the +&- on the battery is this right? or does the live need to goto the black wires at the dash? :thumb: the transducer i was told was working an looks pretty new tbh

black needs to go to a switched 12v feed, i wired all my 3 transducer wires in behind speedo head.

Direct to the battery gives no fused protection so it might have fried the transducer if you rewire it to the dash but still doesn't work then the previous owner was a :tard:
