is there any real difference between radiator silicone hoses and fuel silicone hoses. i can get 500mm of radiator silicone hose for £12 but i want to use it to hold my carbs on a manifold. would this be ok to use?

I think fuel and oil hoses are lined inside with something suitable, whereas coolant hoses are not. Fluoro lining rings a bell?

I found if you put oil or fuel through one that is only meant to carry water the hose will discolour.

is that it? do they not degrade over time? maybe i should just spend the extra few pennies n get the fuel one

radiator hose being used for fuel will soften the inner linning and will colapse or split use the correct stuff for the job imo

marine fuel hose it is then. about 1/3 the price of bright pointless coloured hoses

pirtex is my friend lol used them to replace my fuel tank pipes and think i had change from a twenty lol buying the coloured stuff in reels rather than a 'kit' also saves money if you find the suppliers

found fuel filler hose for £3.84 for 100mm...so...8 inches should do (oo err). 2inch per inlet bit thing.
