unlocking the door from the inside

ok this is kind of hard to explain so try and follow :oops:

on my mates 1.2 sting he can unlock the door from the inside by pulling the door open leaver when the doors locked,
But on my 1.0litre nothing happens if I do this?

take of the door card and have a look to see all the metal rods are connected correctly.

are they different models? My mates door opens from the inside if its locked too. nothing to worry about as long as it dont open from the outside when locked :)

Its shouldnt happen if your have central locking... well, it doesnt work on my car anyway, but my alarm locks me in the car so i cant get mugged (and so that any girls in my car cant escape without a fight)

on all 3 of my novas pulling the handle from inside while the pin was down resulted in nothing happening :?

Don't worry about it. Theres nothing wrong. Some cars have this, some don't.

Some of the Nova's came with an extra piece of linkage between the internal pull and door lock and some did not, unfortunatly not sure what year the change was made and funily enough niether is Vauxhall.

never ever seen this on any of mine... or any of my mates... and it's not listed on the epc either!!

I have only ever seen it on two Nova's, one C-reg and one D-reg, possibly it was something only ever done on the first ones.
And we both know not Everything is in the EPC!
