AST20K cam wont fit. Advise needed please.

I have got a kent cam = ast20k for my 1.4 sr as ive been advised this is the best option for my nova . The problem is that is longer and slightly fatter than my original cam so wont physically fit in its place .
Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong please ?

Just contacted a company who deal with these and they said this ca wont fit a nova as its for the older 1.6 and 1.8 larger block engines ??
Could anyone confirm this or advise me if they think this is wrong as i was sold it and told it would fit a 1.4 .

Am sure its the ast10 cam that fits small blocks, think there are one or two others that will aswell

I've got a gte cam box and its too big for that.
Spoke to a company called need for speed and they confirmed the size diffrences etc.
The small block 1.3. 1.4. And 1.6 is a different part number and the ast20k is definatly for the older larger block 1.6 or 1.8
Not sure where I stand now as It was advertised for my engine and when I asked \ checked I was also assured it fit.
