View Full Version : New Nova SX Project
I have just got hold of a 1.2i Nova SX on a K reg, it only has 55k on the clock and is in pretty good condition overall with only a bit of scabbing to the rear arches, front drivers side arch and passenger door, Also theres a tiny hole on the jacking point on the cross member which is being patched up soon.
Apart from that the underneath is solid and the interior is immaculate with no bolster wear on the seats and all carpets are in good condition too.
I'm looking to have it as a rolling project over the next few years and ultimately aim to drop in a c20let once the cost of insurance drops below 3 grand lol
For some reason it won't let me post images so here's the link to my Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/77340395@N04/

yay, i used to have an sxi, kinda of a poor mans SR, not that theres anything wrong with that; one of the more trendy editions/trim levels vauxhall offered. Unbreakable but a bit asematic that spi 1.2 8v eh. lol.
Looks nice in the black; nicest colour - sets off the red detail.
I have to say with C20LET's commanding good money to source and theyre always good money to fit, run and maintain - it may boil down to your patience as to whether you wait to fit one of those or go for a conversion thats a little less wild, but could carry it out sooner..
Yeah I love it, it's a bit on the slow side and it doesn handle like a boat but I'm trying to keep away from any sort of accident for at least a year so I'm not to bothered on the engine size for now.
Yeah I like the black, not to keen on the bump strips though, I think they might have to go.
Well I'm hoping when it comes down to it I'm not gonna be stung on the insurance so I can afford to run it with a XE, if not I might just go for the good old XE conversion
from the pics, who's is the gsi? also where in the world or at least gb are you? when you decide to change the wheels, can i get first dibbs on the original ones from you, cheers, good luck
It's Riggys GSI, those pics were taken when I had it kept in his unit. And I'm from Manchester, I'll update my profile a bit now haha.
And yeah when I eventually get round to changing them you'll be the first to know.
lol , looks alot better now its clean mate , still got those spring and shocks if you want them though , better then std :)
and still not seen it driving round yet :p
Aye it looked a right shed before I washed it, not so bad now apart from the 2 big key marks that have magically appeared on it.
Yeah I'll have them, I get paid next week so I'll pop round to the unit with some for you :)
I've had it out pretty much every day since its been on the road, your just not looking hard enough haha.
