No!

Why No! I have chinese rods in my turbo engine? As do many others? Id trust chinese rods over a DIY turbo rebuild all day.

because if you know where to look you can get proper rods for not much more, bare in mind if a rod lets go your engine is scrap so an extra £100 is cheap in the long run

Define 'proper' rods

im willing to bet 90% of all the steel is from the same sources anyway.

Can get the tx rods of eBay for around £300, when compared to other roads they use the same material and the and all other specs

For the same money you can get Williams H section rods. It's a no brainer! If I was allowed I post a link for a set that end in a few hours sat a £200 with no bids!

Them TX ones look shat.

Chap on migweb from Lithuania does them for £250 (come with ARPs too), no one seems to have a failure yet?

I would trust cheap steel rods over standards, but wouldn't trust them in a high power spec.

I managed to source a set for just over that delivered, after bending rods on cylinders 1 & 3.
