Comes down to the old debate...

Every one breaks the law in some form or another, its just wether your way is sociably acceptable.
I have never done (well quite impossible when ive never taken illegal drugs), but then neither have i ever drunk and drove, but millions do, if you want to take the risk take the punishment that comes with it.

I have broke laws but when i do i am prepared to accept responsibilty for my actions.

Its a touchy subject- but I feel drugs can cause lack of control, whereas most people are just inconsiderate when they break the highway code, on drugs or with drink, u may not be able to make the choice of obeying the highway code, ud just be incapable-and may not be able to regain control- argh! theres a point in ere sumwhere Im just not feeling very literate at the moment :oops:

ganja can be in your bloodstream for up to a month and can be picked up,pills are usually out of your system within a week.The test is done with a stick type thing they rub across your forehead and put into some sort of machine that analysis your swet for certain chemicals. The on the spot test kit the old bill use wont be able to detect anything though after about 24 hours,they would nees urine samples for that.

I think the police already know when they stop a car whther the driver is using a few certain class A drugs anyway... as they shine the torch right in your bloody face, which definately gives away your swinging jaw and pupils the size of the black hole of calcutta :o .... yet they still dont do anything.... Not that i've been in that situation of course.

So how come they usually just do a quick check, maybe a breathalyser and let the said merry driver go on his way.

Im not condoning drug driving, I do think it is dangerous, but how often do you hear of people crashing their cars, or being in an accident while unfit through drugs (apart from maybe a diabetic sufferer on last nights police chases)??

Thanks for your views/ slaggings on this subject. I guess i'll rethink drug driving - mainly due to the new tests but also the saftey thing aswell.
i'd never drink drive but i've always thought drug driving a much lesser evil, maybe im wrong.
