Strange one this...

I changed my seats last year for GSi ones. Now the mountings are slightly different compared to the 1.2 ones. They bolt in at the front but at the back theres a bent bit on metal that slips into the chassis seat slide bit (where the old retaining clip used to go).

However theres no way of refitting the retaining clip.

As a result myu seats move up and down slightly. Theyre totally secure but on both mot's its been flagged...

Anyway of securing them properly or anm I missing something - like another bracket?

Prob gonna wedge a but of metal/wood in the gap - but would rathjer do it properly if there is a way

Cant answer this 100% but...

We broke a car recently and it had obviously had the same problem so the guy had put a clamp on the inside runner on both seats.

Was a basic u shape piece of metal with a bolt going through it and this secured it to the runner to stop them rocking like you said.

There was no special clip on the GSi seats.

they should have a rubber pad or a white plastic thing to thicken them up i think

bugger, thats what that bit was for.
When i was putting in passenger seat a rubber square came from somewhere so i thre it in the hedge. lol.

Don't think the seat wobbles though.
