Has anyone smoothed the centres in cesaros???

Hi guys, possibly another silly idea but has anyone seen or heard of cesaros without the centre caps,
where the bit that the cap gets screwed into has been grinded away and the lip smoothed off???

Another silly idea, or is it possible ???

I know what your on about, I want to do the same with mk2 Astra gte alloys, Colin's mate mate could tig weld the centre cap ring and plug the centre bore then just buff back the weld and balance to suit
