View Full Version : E16se Egr Removal?
Does it improve how the car runs? Is it worth doing whilst the inlet is off? Are the gaskets still available?
Thanks in advance
Don't remove it, just block it off, only gain is if it's already faulty,
you just remove the egr, blank off the vac hose, and make a blanking piece for the egr itself (i used some 8mm ally on mine).. bit of exhaust clag & its a goner
I just used a bit of a coco pops lol
Left the hoses as they were,
i'm surprised you didn't just pour some porridge down the hole... lol
That was my plan, just remove the valve, cut it out of a bit of plate and bolt it on
Thanks all, any chance of picture (Mike or Alan) of the heater hoses on your car please as mine are rubbing together and doesn't look right to me, they are both the e16 ones but I can't see it clearly on anything off google images???
its a bit too dark. i'll see what i can do tomorrow.
Sorry Graeme I don't have any pics on photobucket and both my E16's are out the cars
Scrap that, found one lol

could one of the pipes that come through the bulkhead be slightly bent?
If they can't be separated the get a old radiator hose and sheath one to protect it?
