One of the bonnet pins failed and the other must have worked loose as the bonnet flew up (fortunately I was only doing about 40 so no accident...phew) and smashed the windscreen.
It's a mk2 but i assume they all fit.
I got home by using the tow rope to hold the bonnet down, I took a tow rope as the only other journey in this car, the fuel pump died....it's not going well.
I'll look just now in the guides to see how easy it is to fit a screen myself as I assume if I went through the insurance, the excess would be more than the cost to do it myself and I'm skint!
Anyway, does anyone have a windscreen in or near aberdeen?
