Absolute weapon, the only matte black car that i really took a liking for when i seen his WIP. Made a really good job of that..

That looks mean as! Good photo aswell, I toyed with Matt with my old hatch but soon decided against it as there hard to keep clean :/

How hard is it to keep clean then?? Looking at these I'm getting more and more tempted...

When I looked into it you can't use any glossy/wax products to clean or wash it with polish it or anything like that,
It's not so much hard cleaning it but bird lime etc will be a pain to get off.
All you can basically do is get a hose pipe an some basic car shampoo. That's it lol

If your doing it with rattle cans it can be a right pain to get an even coat but done properly they it looks the dogs doodahs

IIRC it needs to be done with paints that have a satin/matt finish lacquer over the top, as if you do it by hand with rattle cans it will never look nice, as it shows all the smallest water marks etc..

not necessarily true imo. also you dont want to use matt black you want satin black. matt you cant clean satin you can. the other bonus with satin black is any scuffs or touch ups blend straight in lol

I am now set on satin black, going by the advice from people on here etc, shall get a wicked looking derv going once it is fixed!
remember....matt black absorbs water...and its a car reknown for rusting.

...yea, satin blacks not much better. i was told to use either matt lacquer or satin lacquer on mine.
i have mattblack bonnet and roof. I like how it looks, but too many peiple have done it now so im having the car resprayed shiny :)
