The nut and bolt at the bottom of my rose joint gear linkage (absolutely hate it!) works loose, I tried fitting a normal locking nut with the nylon bit but, they are too deep, there is not enough clearance.

I have put a rubber washer in at the moment but is there a locking compound or anything as this car should end up on the track therefore the gear linkages will be used rough so need to be strong.

thanks

Weld it that's what I do when I make them

Do you mean just a manifold nut?

It is just 17mm bolt (with the rose joints) and then the nut under the swivel bit for gearchanges, but with the constant pressure and movement with the gear changes it seems to work a bit loose, I really don't want it to collapse on a track.

cant really blame you!

assumed it was a 13mm bolt through the center of the joint! go with swedges idea....just get someone else to weld it!lol

Loctite thread lock stick a shed load on works just like a locking nut
