View Full Version : wheels out to suit a wide arch kit
happnin chaps got a wee question.. av baught a wide arch kit av got a rough idea how to get the wheels out to suit. if anyone can share there views on how they would do it or have done it would be grate
cheerz pandy :p
Dan had compomotive make some wheels specially for his wide arch track beast. Otherwise get some measurements, and fine out what offset and widths you use, theres plenty of wheels suitable for you.
Wide track kit is the way to go,
Unless you don't have the wheels already and work out what offset you'd need
a was thinking along the lines of playing about with some corsa bottom arms. shafts steering rack .but then al be left with the coilovers sitting at some crazy angle.. av seen a few done with wide track kits an they look the titties
your choice is this....
either play around with astra shafts & modified arms
or
use wide wheels from something like a bmw with a lower offset
I got these wheels for my wide arch, I haven't tried the fronts on yet.

looking good mate..
so are bmw e30 the same pcd but a diffrent offset ?
Bear in mind that short term wide rims are cheaper, but as soon as you need new tyres it's instantly more than a simple wide track kit and the ability to run wtf tyres you like.
Good point Stu, never thought about that :thumb:

No one does lol
Dan has two sets of bespoke wheels with twitting expensive rubber on them for wet or dry days etc, whereas a set of std 15/16" rims with cheaper rubber for relevant conditions is far more sensible
Stu I don't get what you mean?
Massive wide tyres are sodding expensive..... Does it need spelling out any more simply?
