im sure it has an early crank in it and the engine code is 20xe on the block? isnt that an early block?

arent the bearings different sized from early too late?

I sourced a early XE crank for my mates LET rebuild, rumour has it they are lighter,

Rumour has it VERY early XE's has fully forged steel internals to meet homolagation rules,

Don't know how true that is tho?

Sorry for hijacking thread but it is very related!

I have a HH3 block with coscast head, early belt/pulleys etc.

So this should be forged pistons and lighter crank but weaker block casting? Am I correct to think that if I get a xev block and transfer it over then I will have the best combination, latest revision casting but early stronger and lighter internals with coscast head?
