Electric Fuel pump

I took my track car out on it's maiden voyage yesterday, after 20 miles it died, thought I had run out of fuel as no fuel getting to carb. Called the aa.

he came, put fuel in it (i felt like a prat) and it still wouldn't go....

turns out the facet electric fuel pump has died. Can this be repaired or do i just buy another?

Can I buy a cheap generic pump as it is only a 1.4 Nova?

I'm using a facet solid state pump from eBay was. 24.99

I never said why the pump failed, the previous owner had fitted a deisel pump so the petrol actually dried the bearings.....fab.

I bought a generic pump and so far it has been fine.
