Well if any of you have me on facecook then you will have seen my status's regarding the nova. I changed the rocker covers and then after it wouldnt start, the V6 has never ever had a problem starting or running its always been bombproof! She was popping banging and refused to start i believed some oil had gone down the bores from the rocker covers and wouldnt fire due to the plugs having oil on them! Anyway after 5x taking the inlet off to get at the rear plugs and a coilpack change i then had a bolt of lightning hit me! A week before hand i added 30Litres of petol/diesel mix from work, so i got 5L of petrol in a jerry can cleaned the line out and put the feed to the pump straight into the jerry can and bang up she fired!! So my lesson ....... Dont be a pikey with non neat fuel or a least mix it in at an acceptable ratio lol - anyway heres how she sit now Sr Steels fitted and rocker covers painted signal green, 6point roll cage fitted all ready to have the nitrous fitted!

you were lucky you didn't wreck the injectors, that sort of free fuel is only really for lawn mowers, and 1.0 novas..

Lmfao, id seen your statuses about wondering if today would be the day the noba wanted to start again but ive not spent much time on there of late so didnt get chance to look into it, moody fuel is never the mix youre told it is, i put 10 litres of 2/3 petrol and 1/3 diesel in my old XR2i, onlt to find out afterwards that it was 1/3 petrol and 2/3 diesel, i looked a plum ragging it to the fuel shop with what seemed to be a failed gasket blanking out the road behind me lol

Haha no we had a jag come in at work that had been brimmed with petrol but not started but we didnt know how much diesel was in it before the petol was put ut, its ran in it before so didnt think it was a priblem lol

my brothers wife filled his rangerover 3.0d with petrol, it drove a mile back from the garage before dying.. it took me 4hrs to get the tank fully drained, & about another hour till we were happy the fuel system was clear, & it ran perfectly... we chucked the 20 gallons of mix in our honda engined wackers, mixers, rollers etc...

Yeah but they have carbs so they will be alright.

Meh, i chuck anything i can get hold of in my 1.2 carbed. I ran it on a 1:40 2stroke mix for a speedboat. Used 2 tanks worth, smoked a little but was fine :P
