f16 linkage in corsa

Hi all, having problems setting up gears on my corsa with f16 in. Brought a extended linkage, fits nicely but i carnt find any gears. Feels like a big empty box. Any1 had this before or any one with any ideas. Thanks

do you have a haynes? if so, follow their version of the gear linkage setting up..

have you turned the plastic linkage block round, like you do in a nova?

basically, you undo the adjuster clamp on the linkage rod, put a 4.5mm drill bit shaft into the little hole on the shifter box(you'll see the little plastic bung sticking out), and turn the linkage slightly until you locate the locking hole & push it in. then get the gearstick in neutral between 1st & 2nd, and clamp it up. & remove the drill. it should be set.
