what car have you got?
what engine size?
what have you done to it?

you don't wanna be putting on a huge exhaust and have nothing else done to ya car

Before you start attracting attention with a loud exhaust, at least get some wheels and suspension (lower it) sorted out. Even if the stylings standard, it will at least look and possibly sound like you have a 'decent' engine.

Though big exhausts can make small engines sound 'raspy'.

if its a 1.0L the last thing I would do is to stick a loud exhaust on it.

People will here you coming and will then have to wait half an hour for u to drive past.

Better of gettin one that looks a lot better, sounds better but still quiet if u get my drift.

Unless ur car is heavily modded I wouldnt get 5" tailpipes, will look out of place.

As Marty said ur better of gettin some decent rims and lower it first.

Lol. good point.

i have quite a big zorst but i have also modded my 1.2 to around 60-65bhp i reckon. I got a sr twin choke carb and 4-2-1 manifold. with the ast2 cam i'm gonna get it should be one of the fastest 1.2's around.

Anyone ever heard of putting T40's on a 1200? lol.

that would be crazy.

:o a 1litre nova aint pumping out enuf power or gas's to make a decent exhaust note .. no matter what u fit to it .. invenst ur money elsewhere .. get it lowered de-bagde it , get some alloys .. best off waitin till uv got a bigger engine in there first .. theres a 1.3SR engine going on ebay for 20quid right now .. u can get em cheap .. plus theres plenty of engine mods u can do to the 1.3SR engine 8)

also with a 1 litre no matter how loud the exhaust is the noise of the tappets will over power it!!

snowface there is really no point in going for t40's as u will b over fueling it u better off for going for one twin choke and settin it up rite

I ran twin 40's on my first 1.2, they do make one hell of a difference, but if you are going to go to the time and effort of fitting and setting up these carbs, it surely got to be worth fitting a 1300 first.

u aint wrong :o 1litre novas are tappety as fook .. just get a 1.3SR engine! :P and get a full system .. with say a 3-3.5inch tailpipe .. and a K & N air filter .. job done 8) .. no point throwing money at a 1.0litre engine .. if u do then ur a first class muppet :|

i wasn't ever thinking about putting T40's on my 1200. I was just asking/wondering if anyone had done it before.
