F20 Linkage

Ok, so still cant get 5th gear!!

Adjusted the linkage as per the Nova manual, still no joy. Trimmed some of the white plastic from the bottom of the gearstick, now i can get 5th. However, at speeds of +40mph cannot select 5th. Just another 3rd!

Any suggestions? I cant be the first to experience this?!

Yes. Took a mince out earlier, 5th can be had. Soon as i errr, drive on the keen side lol 5th is not selectable.

Have you tried pushing down on the gearstick to select 5th like you would if you wanted reverse?

having the same problems at the moment. found the best way is to push it down, and holding the stick forwards while you let the clutch up sp it pulls its self in

you both set up using the drill bit/dowel method?

Yep, still no good. Managed to get it sorted in the end. Doesn't help that the bushes are pretty worn so not a positive feel.
