I am going to rebuild and service my Nova Sport weber 40s and I wondered whether I should buy a weber service kit or if the alternatives are good enough to use. Just thinking it will save a few quid if they are worth using.

Cheers

Anyone bought the ones being sold on ebay for about £12?

Got mine from my local motorsports shop, weren't gen weber, they were OK, weren't any issues, but will buy genuine Weber next time.

I bought genuine Weber ones from D&B carburettors in Notts a couple of years back, I am sure they were only about £15.
Just make sure you get the correct kits.

Thanks for the replies. If I buy genuine weber service kits for 40 science carbs will they be right for original sport carbs? Just checking there aren't different kits for certain 40 dcoe's?

There are different ones, I think the kit you need is for an Alfa type DCOE. My kits are buried in a box somewhere so can't get the number off them

Just dug out one of the kits, the part numbers WE436 and 9300150500 are on the box
