Would running Vxr injectors on a standard c20let cause it to over fuel?

wouldnt have thought so there only pumping what the ecu tells them to

Depends if they flow more for a given opening duration...... Which I would imagine they do with the same fuel pressure.

Yes - we fitted a set on a P2 let and it really didnt like it....

My mate has a mk3 Astra with a c20let in it and he thinks it's over fuelling it's standard apart from the injectors

Yes. Leh injectors on a standard let (c or z) will cause fuelling issues.

lmfao.... why oh why oh why do people insist on fitting higher flowing injectors with NO other mods... more fuel won't make it any faster!

What if you fit a K+N induction filter? Surely that'll balance it out ??

Edit, I'm not being serious

but it must do, and an uprated pump is bound to make more power too, cos its uprated.....(for uprated, read painted a funny colour & put in a different box)

but at that angle, all the fuel will drain back to the tank

Yeah ir told him that, if he fitted a eds phase 2 chip he could keep the injectors? He has a frontera intercooler does the fuel pressure need put up for phase2

You're suppose to run ph2 on standard injectors and 3.5 bar FPR

swedge
03-04-12, 01:08 PM
Right it's over heating too so gonna go look at it tomorrow I think the thermostat is stuck is te standard fpr 3.5bar?

Mieran
03-04-12, 01:09 PM
Standard is 3 bar

swedge
03-04-12, 01:18 PM
So a fPr is needed? Are are there any 3.5bar that fit on the rail?

well had a look at it today, it has light blue injectors on it which seem to be vxr so if anyone has some standard injectors let me know

also the overheating problem, i took the thermostat housing off and it was full of mush it wasnt oily mayonaise stuff more like walpaper paste

the themostat looks ****ed and was tested in boiling water and nothing happens so a new one has been ordered

he told me that it has a coscast head on it and that the previous owner said it was coscast, you shoulda seen his face when i showed him the GM stamp lol

i have 2 GM heads in my shed that are being ported and polished atm so ill sell him one of those in p/x for his GM head
