what wire on xe conversion

i have an early xe loom so i have a big plug like gte/gsi

i have 4 wires to the green plug

brown with yellow trace
brown with white trace
brown with blue trace
then plain white

can any one help

Isn't the blue the temp gauge?

Thin blue and red trace is not needed.I didnt use it and mine was fine.
All your other stuff is correct as you typed.

its an early loom no temp wire on it

Thin red/blue = Something to do with speed sensor/ABS wire from a quick search on here.

The 4 wires to green plug, is it a square one inside the car? You can leave that disconnected, think one of the pins can be earthed to flash fault codes via EML.

also what colour plug goes to the knock sensor?
