Yes they are.

They are, as long as they're not stretched too much beyond their original length, but I'm pretty sure the torque on even the standard items will be too low to stretch them to that kind of level... so ARP's will be absolutely fine, what engine is it? I'll check autodata for you

You're 'supposed' to measure the bolts before and after fitting to see if they stretched...... Most don't and simply reuse them lol

yeah but to be fair the torque on rod bolts won't be high enough to actually hit plastic deformation levels of stress. ARP 're-usable' head studs, I would definitely measure or bin though.

I've re-used the ones on my Nova with no problems. The torque setting is only about 35lbs/ft from memory, so it's pretty low.

There's actually a note on them about 2 different types of big end bolts:

" 15mm thread length = 28Nm
40mm thread length = Use new bolts and tighten to 25Nm + 30 degrees"

25Nm+30deg still isn't massive torque but it seems to be enough to stretch them.

I would imagine they are fairly low yield bolts to give the strength when revving.... A stiff bolt that won't yield will snap under it load.

there of the 15mm thread lenght variety

simple rule of thumb, if a bolts torque figures include an angle measurement, they are stretch bolts, whereas if it only has a torque figure, then its reuseable

ahh cheers ,so i take it the 1s ive got are re-useable
