View Full Version : What shafts and engine mount can I use?
I'm pulling out a X16XE from a Tigra that will be going in my Nova.
1) What engine mount can I use? (metal bit that goes from block to rubber mount)
2) What Nova model shafts will work?
Bearing in mind I've got 22 spline hubs to go on, and the Tigra has 22 spline shafts too that I can use CVs from?
Cheers
You'll be using the small block gear box from the tigra yeah? (f13/15) if so just use standard nova shafts. The mount, you'll need to use any nova 1.2/3/4/6 mount. Thats the offside front one)

as above any smallblock (excluding 1.0) mount will fit and you will be using the smallblock box so just stick with standard shafts and the two gearbox mounts will be the same anyway ;)
Problem is I didn't get any shafts or mounts with the car so I need to know exactly what to buy.
And will be using box on the engine now, should be F15.
Edit: Phil, Corsas use different gearbox mounts, both Nova ones are different

Use nova small block shafts and nova small block mounts
So all Nova mounts are the same apart from the 1.0?

Yep the 1.0 engine mount is different cos it's ohv block. But the gearbox mounts are the same.
Use standard nova shafts, and standard nova mounts (not the 1.0 osf one as already stated)
Right, I've got another small block related question.
The car had a 2.0 in with F20 so the exit at the bulk head for clutch cable is been bent so I need to straighten it back out or leave it.

Leave it, it should be fine mate. It's been modified to clear the 2.0 inlet. It will still work fine.

:):) yes i know this mate but novas also run f13 /f15 gearboxes so the mounts fit fine
