gear linkage help please!!!!!!

hello i have fitted a redtop in my nova with an f20 box on and then a fitted a digi dash puts it in ok then i plug the speedo in and now i can not get 2nd & 4th cos the linkage keeps hitting the speedo :cry:

did you turn the uj block round the other way & then re adjust it.

i did see one where the linkage had been bent during engine fitting, and it simply wouldn't get the gears... it might be that

Yes I did turn the uj round and set it up again but still no 2nd & 4 th

Find neutral, loosen 13mm pinch bolt, 4.5mm drill bit into turret, centralize, re tighten pinch bolt. That should sort it. Had issues with mine too.

A second pair of hands does help.

If as me you follow the Nova manual and adjust your linkage but still cant get 5th, just shave some of the white plastic selector part at the bottom of the gear stick. I now have 5th!
