Where exactly is it located? I know it's at the back driver side under the boot. Can't remember if the mounting holes are already there.

Anyone got pics? Just wanna know what I'm looking for :thumb:

Anyone got a pic of the whole assembly built up?

I won't be using the standard pump cradle, Using smaller lighter alloy brackets. I got the rubber mounts off ebay for much less than what vauxhall want. But I wanted the general area so I can mount it where it normally would be. Thanks

So is it

tank - filter - pump - damper - fuel lines?

or

tank - pump - filter - damper - fuel lines?

I could just check how the Cav setup is as it has the same pump assembly in the same place but it's a bit too dark at the moment. I can't recall off the top of my head at what it should be.

Daft question but is there a nut inside the chassis leg that the bolts screws into?

mieran, there are 2 funny looking captive nuts that fit thru the 'lemon' shaped holes in the chassis leg. you can get them from a decent friendly dealer parts man.

Much tidier if your get a SPI tank and fit a decent MPI pump

Less pipes, holes drilled, wiring etc

If the damper leaks, just remove, mine has never run one..

What the hell does a damper do? lol

And where does the filter go?

mowgli

the damper is well, sort of self explanatory really... it takes shock surges out of the system...

the fuel filter goes in front of the tank, and is tucked in on the rhs. mine has an indent for it

What the hell does a damper do? lol

And where does the filter go?

Damper smooths out fuel pump pulses for a smoother flow apparently
