Whenever i try and put any petrol in the Nova (even out of a can) it just throws the petrol back out of the fuller neck, literally if i trickle it in it will not take more than 20 pence before it clicks off and throws it back out the filler neck all over my shoes :(

We have jsut fitted a GTE tank to it for the XE conversion, all the pipes were clean and reconnected, been told its the anti theft ball blocking it? The breather could also be the problem but this wouldnt cause it the come back out the neck would it?

Make sure the little flap is open just inside the filler neck. If not it will flow out. Then check the ball. If its stuck then fuel wont get in.

Either the ball or breather(s)

The breathers can cause it because you are chucking fuel into the tank, which is replacing the air thats already inside there. That air has to escape somewhere to make space for the fuel.... Hence the breathers, which is why if they are blocked you will struggle getting fuel in.

My breathers were blocked previously and fueling was really slow, however now it seems to be 100x worse, it spwes it back out before the pumps click off thats how bad it is, if i was using it id of run out of socks by now lol, so check the breathers, how do i check the flap and ball lol ?

Take filler pipe off the tank and have a peek/feel in lol

Make sure fuel level is very low else you'll leak fuel out the filler pipe hole when you remove the pipe
