all old proper bmws do that too... my brother pointed it out to me when we were kids... he just loved seeing them do it,
me, i saw a lotus esprit turbo, and i didn't really know what turbo lag was, but we were following one in a line of traffic, and then he pulled out, and 2 seconds later simply pissed off over the horizon... i vowed that i would own a car that you had to pull out and then accelerate.... so i now own a nova lol lol

Lol, and old video, but it does show how quick the things are.

The police car (which topped at 128mph) was a Saab, I'm led to believe it had the blue lights dangling off during the chase too.
They didn't catch up with it on the raod, but did later and arrested the driver.
