I'm in the process of removing the dash from my Mark1 Nova.

Is there any special way of removing the steering wheel?
Any little clips i might of missed?

I've taken off the horn and the centre nut and then spent
over an hour today tugging on it and it did not budge.

Any advice would be much appreciated :thumb:

Nope nothing other than the big centre nut.

I tried all sorts of ways of removing it. In the end I bought a proper puller. 30secs and the wheel was off.

As above, you need a steering wheel puller.

I used to pop out the white tabs top and bottom where the stalks are and remove the bolt down at the pedals twist the black plate that holds the stalks and pull out the steering wheel still with the steering shaft attached :d

Never used a puller, remove the nut and then put it back on a few turns and then pull very hard. A few bangs on the around it, alternating from either side and top to bottom. It will come off but it is hard work.

Make sure you put the nut back on, or when it comes off you will hit yourself in the face with a steering wheel!

USE A PULLER

anything else risks damage to either the steering column or you
